Here’s the #msr gear shed finally up in a haphazard fashion to make sure I don’t head off with incomplete kit. It went up fine. Still annoyed its a slightly different green to the HP with no chance to match it. For the money you think it’d be no issue. Anyway, maybe I’ll blend in more when I wildcamp.
Rather oddly though, when I went out the next morning the guy roped had been chewed or cut. I’ll show you a picture later if you don’t believe me.
Because of a near global recession and seemingly Ark requiring weather this summer there’s a been a few bargains to be had in the old clothing line. I was looking for something waterproof and mid layish to keep around for the occasional rainfall (ha!) in Scotland. I’m a big fan of Rab clothing and didn’t really look any further than them this time. Instead, just taking my time waiting for prices to dip a bit.
In the end I’ve settled on the Scimitar in a lose-me-on-the-grass green colour. Pprobably not a wise touring colour but excellent for the grey hue of city commuting.
Full review to come by me.
I also have a Garmin Edge 800. It is turning into a thing of beauty. Its not quite as intuitive as your average iphone app, but it way more accurate and a lot smaller. You can also pre plan routes or borrow other peoples to ride.
Here is a quick approximation of September’s Scotland trip.
Finally got around to finding my password for this account so I can get chatting some new gear. First one is simple: The MSR Gear Shed which was a simple upgrade for the Hubba Hubba. Especially on this island where you may need the additional space to dry things and also maybe a place to hide the bike when camping in weirder places. Anyway, if you’ve not seen it, here is a review of it (not mine).
Amazing footage of a Scottish ride by Rapha. Looking forward to this Scotland tour now #cycling
I haven’t been here for awhile as I’ve been caught up with moving into a new home with all the fun and trappings of what that means. I’m talking to Rich about a small week long ride around Skye in Scotland. So far it looks ‘Midgey’.

Indeed it is.
